Plan the roof first. Then request one local roofer.

Use the Ontario roofing calculator before giving us your contact information. It provides a broad planning range based on roof area, material, pitch, complexity, access, tear-off and your city. If you want a contractor afterward, carry the same details into one HomeSelect request.

Get a quick planning range.

This is a broad planning estimate, not a contractor quote. The model uses the same 2026.Q3 roof baseline and Ontario market factors used in the Home Cost Canada planning model, then rounds results to avoid false precision.

What this estimate does not know

Hidden decking damage, exact measurements, ventilation, flashing, skylights, specialty access, structural work, permits and exact products can materially change a contractor price. Taxes are not automatically added.

After the calculator

Want an actual roofer to look at the project?

Send the job once. Where current Ontario roofing coverage is available, HomeSelect selects one local roofer whose service area and work fit the request. Your details are not blasted to a list of contractors.

Matching depends on current contractor coverage. If no suitable local match is available, HomeSelect does not send your request to a list of companies.

Ontario roofing by city

Start with local context.

These are the first city pages in the Ontario buildout. The calculator above remains the main planning tool.

What moves a roof quote

Square footage is only the beginning.

Two roofs with the same surface area can price very differently. Pitch, number of valleys, roof height, access, tear-off depth, decking condition, flashing, ventilation and material choice all affect the job.

Use the calculator as a range, not an offer.

The number is deliberately broad and rounded. A contractor still needs to inspect and measure the roof, decide what repairs are necessary and issue their own written quote.

Compare scope before comparing totals.

Ask contractors to spell out tear-off, disposal, underlayment, flashing, ventilation, decking allowances, cleanup, warranty and tax treatment. A lower total is not necessarily lower if important items are excluded.
